Birthday Parrot

Happy Halloween!
Thinking that I should have made a Halloween card for today's post...

However, we had a birthday party instead this past weekend so I was kept busy with that instead.

I finally busted open two of my new paper smooches sets: Chit Chat and My Peeps.
I love love LOVE this sentiment!

Well, I pretty much love all of the Paper Smooches stuff, let's be honest!
Thanks for stopping by & have a spook-tacular day!

Hang In There

Hi All!
I finally got around to use this adorable Paper Smooches squirrel, from the Hang Ups set.  Isn't he adorable!  I've had so much fun with Hang Ups... well, really all of the Paper Smooches sets are SO much fun!
I made this card for a coworker who is dealing with some medical stuff right now.  I hope that such a cute card can possibly shed some smiles in a tough time.

Admit One

Hi All!
Forgot I hadn't shared this on my blog yet!  This is the first card I had picked up by Paper Crafts magazine for publication, in their Sept/Oct 2011 issue, available here.

It uses My Cute Stamps Circus Animals and a lot of paper piecing.  Such fun!

dear Santa

Just popping in to share a card that I had published in Paper Crafts magazine, Holiday Cards & More Volume 6, available here.
I loved the simplicity of this card and the super fun typewriter by Pink Petticoat.

whale of a birthday

I'm back with my Paper Smooches whale again.
Have I mentioned that I am beyond obsessed with Surf and Turf?
I'm beginning to think I should give him a name since I use him so often.

How do you feel about the name Sunny???  I'm thinking Sunny a huge smile emerges on my face every time I see him.  Plus, it's gender neutral!  I can use him in pink too!  hehe!

dreams take flight

I have had the PTI Happy Trails set for awhile now and haven't really used them yet.  It's one of those sets that I love but just haven't had time.

99% sure that I bought this set for the paper airplane and the swirly lines.  I love them.
*sigh*

Sweet Wonderful You

Have you been to Pink Petticoat yet?
If not, I suggest you take a trip!  I love, love, LOVE their digital stamps!
How fun is this cake stand?!?!?!
I printed it out twice, once on kraft, once on white- colored in the white & cut it out and paper-pieced it onto the kraft.  Then I covered the treats in Stickles to make them look even more delicious!

Yummy, don't you think?

Birthday Pinch

How cute is this crab?
I have a thing for beachy stamps apparently.  Whales, crabs, beachy birds- I love them.
And can one ever have too many birthday cards on hand?
I feel like I am always out!
This little crab is from My Cute Stamps Fishy Fun.

Huge Thanks

*sigh*
I love this whale.

He is, of course, Paper Smooches- part of Surf and Turf.
I could play with him all day.
I kept it really clean & simple...

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge Helicopter Love

It's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge time again and isn't this one great?
At first I really wanted to do a baby card using the onesie and colors as my inspiration but I also needed a card for my mother and since my crafting time is limited, I had to take inspiration from the colors and the twine.

More background, my mother is actually a pilot.  Not a helicopter pilot but I think it still works for her.  In general, aviation themed, right?
I paper-pieced the helicopter (from Sunny Side Up) with an adorable MME green polka dot and colored in some pink stripes with Copics.

I mean really, what girl wouldn't want a green polka dotted w/ pink racing stripe helicopter?  :):):)
The hearts are from Hang Ups and the sentiment is from Word Up.

My mother-in-law borrowed my sewing machine and I'm really wishing I could have stitched the periphery of the kraft cardstock.  I even considered hand stitching it- but there was no way I would have time for that... so here it is.
