Seasons Givings Blog Hop

Happy New Year!  I have to admit that 2013 was pretty awesome for me, I accomplished a lot and yet I'm still excited to see what 2014 brings.

Today, I'm taking part in the Seasons Givings blog hop.
If this is your first time to my blog, welcome!  I am so glad you are here!  If you're a regular, thank you for that!  I really appreciate all of my readers and so I jumped at the chance to share in the Seasons Givings blog hop!  You should have arrived here from Jody Morrow's blog.  If you need the entire hop stuff, scroll to the bottom!

For the hop, I wanted to share a new card, so here it is…
I used some of my favorite stamps to create this card - THIS flower set, THIS border set, and THIS holiday sentiment set.   I've included the product list below the hop information.

To say thank you, I have a few goodies to share.  I don't have pictures ready, it will just have to be a surprise!  :)  I promise it will be worth it!

To enter, please leave a comment telling me your favorite type of embellishment!  Be sure to include if you're a new follower or an existing follower, as I'll be drawing one winner from each category!  Comment by Monday, January 6th and winners will have 48 hrs to claim their prize!

Next it's off to Savannah O'Gwynn's blog and I'm sure she has something spectacular for you there!

Here's the entire hop information.
It's a long list but I am sure it will be worth the hop!

Favorites from 2013 - Projects and Products

Hello friends!  On this last day of 2013, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite projects and products from the year.
This is one of my favorite cards from 2013.  This sentiment and arrow embellishments as well as the speech bubble negative stamp come from Avery Elle Oh Yeah.  The stripes are from Avery Elle Texture Tiles Be Cool.
I also love the addition of the sequins, I use Avery Elle sequins.
Enamel dot love with a great sentiment stamp.   I have an enamel dot obsession this year… I just can't get enough of them!

And again, here…  Glitter & Enamel Dots - be still my heart!  I love the font on this stamp set so much.

There are so many things I love about this card, I'm not sure quite where to start…  First, the stamps, sigh - Lawn Fawn - the cuteness kills me!   I used a journaling card by My Favorite Things, they have some incredible notebook/journaling card dies that I use all the time!
Lawn Fawn twine is my absolute favorite.  21 yards of fun in a roll and I have used all 21 yards in my red and yellow in less than a year.   It's so nice and thick - it ties the perfect bow!

And then there's Paper Smooches…  Paper Smooches will always be my first love and it just gets better and better with every release.  This card I made for a dear friend on her birthday so it's a favorite already.  I love this cat - it cracks me up.  I love the witty sentiments in all of the Paper Smooches stamp sets and Kim's handwriting is my favorite.
See that polaroid stamp?  It's from Lawn Fawn.  It's a stamp and die I could not live without.

This is my favorite Christmas card that I made in 2013.   Sigh.  The birds and trees makes me happy.
Again, the red twine.   I'm telling you - 21 yards of fun.  (It says that on the packaging!)

This card is one of my favorites because it's simple, elegant but has so many little details that keep it from being boring.  The flowers are two-tone, a trend that I love!
The stitching along the periphery of the card is from a Lil' Inker die set.  I use it all of the time.

In fact, I used that same die here on this card.  I simply just trimmed my rectangle to be wonky!  Eek, the Paper Smooches cuteness too!

Ok, I'll be back very soon with a new card to share…  I hope you've enjoyed my favorite projects and products from 2013!

A bit of enabling…

See you soon! XOXO!

Two Step Florals

Can you believe it's the last Saturday before Christmas?  I honestly cannot.  It seems like this year has just flown by.

I've been absolutely obsessed with the new two or three stamp floral stamps.  I love the dimension and depth it adds to them but really they're just so darn pretty.  I've been wanting to try the same technique with my Paper Smooches floral sets, to see how it would work with a touch of whimsy.
I simply stamped the bottom layer of the flower and then stamped on top of them with a smalller flower image.  To be super specific, I stamped the smaller flower twice since I chose the 3 petal flowers and I wanted a 6 petal inside.  Then, I did the same thing with the leaves and added berry accents.  One that was done, I went in and heat embossed the inside of the flowers with dots and clear embossing powder.

To give it a bit of a rustic touch, I stamped a woodgrain pattern over it when I was all done in a light color.  I love this effect. :)
